I wrote la inmortalidad del cangrejo for Michael Hernandez’s Latinx Storytellers project. While writing this piece I was thinking a lot about my family history in Nicaragua, about my newborn son, and about how my family constantly recalls and relives our rich history through stories. When we get together and remember our past, it’s like ringing a bell and re-injecting energy into a fading resonance.
